Imagine a runway show each night, beautiful models glam up to the 9’s and lets not forget about the gorgeous clothing and amazing discussions about fashion.
Columbia, South Carolina Hosted the 3rd Annual Fashion Week June 17 -21, 2014 under the theme “Style is out and Fashion is in”.
Each day of Fashion Week began with fashion Pops in a flash mob style introducing Columbia to the latest fashion trends and our beautiful models. Following the fashion flash mob was a trunk show every day at the cutest little boutique in 5 Points, Vestique. There were then pre shows held each night at 5pm that prepared the audience for the main show at at 7:30pm.
Fashion Week began with the 4th annual beautiful people party at Studio Cellar in the Vista. At the party, the 25 most stylish people in columbia were awarded while beautiful models stood as fixtures. On day 2 the runway was filled with designs by new and upcoming designers. This event was also held at studio Cellar.
On thursday the unique runway at Paul Mitchell the school was filled with the most adorable child models you have ever seen. The venue at this new age beauty school was filled with vendors from Mary Kay, Jaguar of Columbia, Scentsy, 2Fat2FlyWings, Carolina Spunk Boutique and many more.
On friday June 20th the pre show was he 3rd annual fashion panel, titled “Get Social: Launch your career and build your brand through Social Media”. This panel was hosted by kiosha Gregg of Digitize Marketing. This event will took place at SOCO, 823 Gervais street. The Panel discused tips about how “Blogging is important to create your online brand” and “Hashtags are important and can be effective but be careful not to overuse them”.
On Thursday, the runway showcase took place outdoors at the Robert Mills House located at 1616 Blanding Street. This garden style runway impressed the audience with designs by Prima Donnas, Vestique, Lisa B. Collection, Sylvia Mollie, Tsvety Fashions and Wish Boutique.
On the final day of fashion week, Local celebrities took the runway at Paul Mitchell the School for the pre show. The main show was held at Tapps Art Center and featured the designs of Ambrosia Star Designs, Sacchi, Yetty’s Closet, Chris Middleton, Menakshe by Jayyy, Tsvety, MayaQoba’s, Macy’s and Copper Penny. The audience, oohed and ahhed at the beautiful designs, while the fashion week team took the the stage for a final bow.
The end of each night was closed with a wrap party at Studio Cellar, for volunteers, Models, designers, vendors, VIP ticket holders and all Columbia Fashion Week Staff and directors. The entire fashion week was a big hit and a beautiful occasion. Be on the look out for next year’s events and get your tickets early.
