This might be the best movie I never get to see. Beyoncé and hubby Jay Z released the visuals to Jay’s track On The Run, which was pretty much a movie trailer. The video titled Run is actually a trailer for the couples upcoming co-headlining On The Run Tour. The trailer features Hollywood stars Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Jake Gyllenhall and Blake Lively to name a few.
This couple is most certainly doing things and making moves. Just days after their not so lovely family business makes headlines and their not so newsworthy press release calms the public they release “Run”.
“Run” just might be the best music video that is not a video of the year. The trailer tells what seems to be a modern day story of a black Bonnie and Clyde. While the story of the black gangsta is not new it is interesting to see Beyoncé and Jay Z play out this role.
I think this would be a great movie. There is talk that this might turn into a full length movie. If it is, I hope it also stars a few more black characters. It would be lovely to see our favorite musicians star In a movie along side the greats but there are also many great black actors that need to be shown in the same light.
